howtohelpHere are ways you can help during this current crisis:

The Warehouse Food Garden Initiative

During Lockdown, the Warehouse realized that there is a need for the churches to find long term; local based and sustainable responses to hunger and poverty. They then partnered with the South African Council of Churches Western Cape in order to promote sustainable food gardens  in both homes and church yards. This will help in distributing food in the form of food parcels and community kitchens as well as church led vegetable markets. In these last few weeks, a garden was started at the Church of the Nazarene in Khayelitsha and they are looking forward to also starting gardens in other churches including here at Christ Church from January 2021. Through these gardens, they will also be doing agricultural training for the unemployed youth. However due to limited funds they are in need of gardening tools. There is a very committed team but they do not have most of the tools needed, and so they are appealing for gardening equipment donations. You'll find the list of equipment that's needed below.
